Wow, over a month on a wonderful hiking/road-trip in the South West USA. We hit Big Bend National Park (Texas), Saguaro National Park near Tucson, hiked the ‘Red Rocks’ in Sedona Arizona (Bell Rock, Cathedral Rock and more), visited Chapel of the Holy Cross then up to Moab where we hiked in Canyonlands (Upheaval Dome), saw the sunset at Green River Outlook and hiked up to ‘Windows’ in Arches National Park. Then down to Santa Fe with a visit to El Santuario de Chimayo, Loretto Chapel and paid a first visit to Bandelier National Monument to explore some of the ancient cliff dwellings. While in Santa Fe we always drop in to Kakawa Chocolate House for a tasty beverage then down Canyon Road to see the wonderful artworks along this famous road.
For our ‘cool down’ drive home we decided to drop in at Branson Missouri for a quick show; saw Legends in Concert, a great review of some favorite oldies. Then we headed home; it was a long drive.
We were on the road for 32 days, drove 5947 miles.
